I Make Music

So I’ve added a music section up top there. It’s basically a collection of songs I’ve made with bands or by myself. One has one of my college roommates singing on it and it’s probably my favorite one(Loving You Always). I had a college class about creativity or something and we had to do a project that incorporated 2 types of ways of being creative. My 2 types were music and drawing. I made a 4 song album, cd cover as well as the music, which was a blast to make and my roommate at the time wanted to do vocals for one of the songs. Well he was screaming at the top of his lungs right next to me in my room as I recorded and edited his parts. I was cracking up the whole time and I’m wondering if you listen close enough if you can hear me in the background trying not to laugh. Good times I say, those are the songs whose artist is College.
Next up is the band Mourn Makes Movement. I was in this band from 2002 – 2003, the same time I was living in Norwalk. It was fun and certainly helped me through my post 7 year relationship just ended depression. I felt worthless like no one liked me and all that stuff that happens when someone you’ve been with 7 years just kinda picks up and leaves, never to talk to you again. The people associated with this band brought me out of that. They laughed at my jokes and always told me they loved having me around, it made me feel like I was worth something. I contributed a good amount of riffs and ideas to the band as well as driving an hour each way to practice. I ate a lot of Wendy’s during that year. The band disbanded rather abruptly because of differences in shows and touring and what not. It was certainly fun while it lasted.
