Russo & Sons
by shaun on October 26, 2008
I finally made it to Russo’s in Watertown and I gotta say I wasn’t that impressed. My work will sometimes order lunch from there for our lunch meetings and it’s always really good but going to the place was an experience I won’t be repeating. I did go on a Sunday, which I knew was a mistake from the beginning but went anyway since E nerded it up with me and went to Best Buy to get Guitar Hero World Tour.
The aisles at Russo’s were narrow enough for 1 cart. This might not be a problem on a normal day of operations but on a Sunday it’s pretty terrible. I think each aisle was full of people with carts so we resembled liquid in a pipe and the spout was the cashiers. A little came out so we moved in to fill up the gap. I ended up getting giant grapes that I got hooked on while in Korea, which turned out to have seeds in them so they weren’t exactly what I had in Korea. I also got oatmeal raisin cookies, usually my favorite, but these were the crunchy kind. More disappointment with this place. My 3rd and final item was bananas and it’s a good thing you can’t mess bananas up because that’d just be too much. They had a lot of interesting looking meats and what not but I couldn’t really get close enough to check it out. Maybe I’ll return after all, to check out Russo’s meats.
Alright I’ll save my Guitar Hero write up for tomorrow’s post. Until then, avoid Russo’s on Sunday, at all costs, like, for real.
