South of Main Street

Growing up in Windsor Locks, Connecticut in the 1980s was a time of innocence and simplicity. Kids would ride their bikes around the neighborhood until the streetlights came on, catching fireflies in mason jars and playing tag in the park. The town was small, but tight-knit, with everyone knowing each other's name and business. Youth sports were a big part of the community, with soccer, baseball and basketball games dominating the weekends. The annual town fair was the highlight of the year, with rides, cotton candy, and games of chance. Life was slower and less complicated than it is today, and it was a great place to grow up.
