When you think traffic cop you think of a dude who’s slightly overweight or maybe an old guy. Not on my street. I often see an attractive, older blonde woman walking around in her uniform with her ticket computer thing, ready to discipline any parking violator that crosses her path. The first time I saw this woman I thought to myself “she can give me a ticket anyday”. Well turns out this morning I got a ticket from her. It wasn’t as great as I had imagined.

My car was broken into last night. I can’t say anything was stolen. What I can say is this is the stupidest crime ever committed and I think I’d rather go to jail than live with the shame of having broken into a car to steal a GPS, not finding a GPS, then just taking the GPS mount that indicated a GPS may have been in the car and leaving everything else.

Throughout the day I thought of things to catch our mentally deficient criminal. For instance, put a sign on my car that says “ENJOY THE GPS MOUNT, LOL”. Then I can buy a webcam and point it outside at my car and get some footage of him bashing my window again since he’d realize I was mocking him. I’m assuming it had to be someone on my street since no one would really just be passing by. Out of the 3.5 years of living here it’s the first time anything like this has happened, Somerville is just going downhill.

A great week of eating pizza once a day. I feel a little more flabby than usual but that’s about it. It was a fun week of trying to find new places to go for pizza and I’d say I’d probably go back to 3 out of the 5 places. That’s a pretty good percentage of win right there. My favorite was the cheeseburger pizza from Stone Hearth, mainly because it was very unique and very tasty. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to finish my pizza coma.

For the final day of pizza week I got an eggplant pizza from Sweet Tomatoes in Newton Center. I gotta say that when dealing with pizza with fried eggplant on it you can’t really go wrong. The flavor of the eggplant really takes over the entire flavor of the pizza. This was very similar tasting to my favorite Angelina’s as well as Pinocchio’s. Eggplant pizza is by far my favorite but Angelina’s is still my favorite place to get it.

Woops!

I also upgraded my theme from chaoticsoul 1.0 to 1.3. So exciting!

I’ve driven by this place probably close to 1000 times but never gave it a look, in fact I think it took someone to point it out to me for me to realize it was there. The conversation was something like:

someone, “how’s the pizza there, it’s called House of Pizza, they must know their stuff”
me, “there’s no house built out of pizza around here”
someone, “no that pizza place right there in front of us, duh”
me, “oh, there’s a pizza place there? oops”

The pizza was pretty small for 7 bucks. I was able to eat the whole thing and fairly easily. I’m not sure why I got hamburger and mushroom but the combo was pretty good. The hamburger had some spices on it which gave it a good flavor. I wasn’t really blown away by it but it was good enough that I’ll try it again sometime.

I was very pleased with the eggplant pizza from Pinocchio’s. There’s a place right near my house called Angelina’s where I always go to get eggplant pizza. It tasted almost exactly like that. Nice and simple pizza, just fried eggplant on top of a normal cheese pizza. Delicious! When I called I asked for a small eggplant so when I got there they had made me a small eggplant sub, oops. I asked for the pizza and paid for the sub too so it was eggplant overload as I had the pizza for lunch and sub for dinner.
